One thing many of my fellow baby boomers and I have in common is that we’re often taken by surprise by the fact that we are now “the older generation.” Sometime through the years, time got away from us and all of our experiences are indelibly inscribed on our faces and bodies. Now and then when I look in the mirror, I want to weep because the woman there is nothing like “the Young Me” who lives inside.
So, when I came across these before-and-after pictures of some TV and movie stars of my past, they gave me great comfort. We are not alone. I think you’ll enjoy these.

I have two final thoughts. First of all, I think most of these people are two to three years older than their stated ages here. And second, I would have to give the prize for “Not-Bad-For-An-Older-Guy” to Mike Farrell. He has held up quite well.
I should be so lucky!

Poor ole’ Howdy Doody. He was such a sweet heart.
If it isn’t scary enough to compare what you looked like in the past with what you look like today, try one of those sites where you upload a photo of your face and they run it through aging software and show what you’ll look like in the future. I did this years ago and I am going to be one wrinkled, skin-blotched dude at 103!
Star, I loved this post!!! And it’s so nice to have time once again to stop by and ‘visit’. I’m sorry I’ve been absent for so long but life has been one big roller coaster for me and my family since October when our son first told us he was getting a huge promotion if he was willing to move to Michigan. To make a long story short, our entire family has moved to the Detroit area! We’ve been here 6 weeks, two of them spent in a hotel suite until we could move into our houses. A long, long story that I sporadically wrote about on my blog. I’m hoping, now that I’m finally connected to the internet, that I’ll be writing there and visiting here more often. Hope you haven’t given up on me! Come by and say hi if you get a chance.
